Toastmasters Club

Welcome to Wimberley Hill Country Toastmasters!

Yes you can be a better public speaker. Great things come to those who speak well. Well, great-er things anyway. Better jobs, more opportunities, being admired by friends  and family, and called upon to deliver the funny speech at a friend's wedding, the moving tribute to a retiring colleague, or the rousing roast of your boss on his birthday. You can learn to stand up to City Hall and speak with conviction, sit on a committee or board and be heard and respected, teach a class or seminar effectively, or read poetry at the local coffee shop.

ToastMasters gives you the confidence and the skills to do whatever you want with your desire to comunicate. And because it is a club, not a course - it isn't expensive or intimidating. It's about as scary as your book club or bible study group. You practice, you watch your club mates practice, and you help each other get better.

There's more, of course, but that's a big part of it.

The other part is leadership. Employers like leadership skills, and they'll look closer at your credentials when ToastMasters is among them. You want to run things, learn marketing, mentor others, plan events and contests, or manage the books? The leadership track works just like the speech track - you have a book full of projects with lots of great instructions, and you complete them one by one. You can choose from multiple manuals to work on the skills you want most, in the same supportive, positive environment you get with speaking.

Aren't you glad you asked?

Our club meets every 1st and 3rd Saturday from 10:30 - 11:30 AM @ the Wimberley Visitor's Center on RR 12. Contact our VP Membership, Ron Steel @ for more information.

Thanks, and we hope to see you soon!
